I have been looking for a well priced deep dish baking dish for a long time to fit my hearty lasagna dish recipe into. I was a fan of the Oneida Culinaria line for quite some time, so when they came out with the bakers, I bought a couple. Now that it appears they are phasing out the Culinaria line, I had to stock up.These are super sturdy stoneware baking dishes. I have had these bakers for nearly two years now and they still clean up beautifully and have not even thought about chipping. I am actually suprised about how well they clean up in the dishwasher. I just rinse off the leftover lasagna (or other pasta) and stick it in the dishwasher on a heavy cycle and when it comes out there is nothing left stuck to the dish. Another plus is that the edges/handles come out pretty far, so I do not end up sticking my oven mitts in the lasagna when taking it out of the oven.The only downside is they are a little on the heavy side.The color is really the color of vanilla ice cream, so the "a la mode" name fits well.
