We have quite a number of pieces of Polish Pottery. Most bought at a local store, many of the pieces from the same factory as this piece. This piece seems to be a "scond" there are two flaws. It does not sit level, it has a bit of a rock to it. There is also a small, what feels like a bit of sand, baked into the glaze on the surface of the inner bottom.The price was not any better than a perfect piece from the local shop. I will buy only from the local shop from now on.Another note, the demensions are all from the outer edges, the depth is measured from the very bottom of its missed alingned feet. Thus the depth is not near what I expected.

This dish is nice and heavy, and beautiful as well. I really appreciate the heavier Polish pottery pieces, of which this is one. Will be a very nice Christmas gift.
