I was looking for an 8" square baking dish and thought this would do the trick, but the actual baking area measured about 6.5" - much smaller than I thought. Although a lovely dish, not the right size for me.

I have several of these dishes and use them all of the time. I usually put half of a recipe that fits in a 9 x 13-inch casserole in this and it fits perfectly. You can make the regular recipe and put it in 2 of these dishes and save one to cook the next day for smaller families. They make a plastic lid that fits this dish and it works out great. These dishes have a wonderful nonstick ceramic finish that makes them very easy to clean up. I have stopped using all of my other glass and ceramic baking dishes because these are so easy to clean. My husband, who often washes dishes, likes them also.
